I fully sympathize with the friends of Don Belton and pray for their hearts to be healed from the pain of such a tragic and pointless death as that of their friend. But trying to encourage a conviction, especially when you can’t possibly know all the facts, is paramount to the types of trials Blacks used to get in the south not too many decades ago. If you are certain he is guilty, let the evidence convict him, not your own assumptions of his guilt based on your being friends with Mr. Belton. Otherwise it will be a shallow victory at best.
Hello Boberto—–Griffin has already admitted to planning [edit: or at least preparing for the possibility] and committing the slaying. There are no assumptions from this site about the crime itself, just concern that his ‘reasoning’ for the premeditated act could somehow hold weight in ways it wouldn’t during other trials.
