I met Don this past Halloween during a party that involved young faculty from many disciplines at IU (I’m in Chemistry). He was an extremely friendly and personable man. I enjoyed meeting and interacting with him, and had looked forward to hanging out with him in the future. I am deeply saddened by his passing and feel terrible that I missed the candlelight vigil. the hearts of both me and my family go out to all who were close to Don, and hope that justice can be found for him.
